1. Make Sure You Have the Right Information

Before requesting an accident report, make sure you have the following information:

  • The location of the accident
  • The name of a person involved

If you have a case number, it may make it easier to find your report, however, the Sheriff’s office does not require it.

2. Request the Report in Person or By Mail

If you want to request your report by mail, you need to send a self-addressed, stamped envelope, along with a money order payable to “Sheriff, Bexar County” in the amount of $6.00, to
